Hey, nice to meet you.
I’m Ben Pang, a multidisciplinary creative based in Oakland, originally from Hong Kong.
Growing up in Hong Kong, I was heavily influenced by Japanese manga and animation. I was always sketching characters on paper, and that love for art eventually led me into design. I started my career as a brand designer, moved into advertising as an Art Director, and over the years have worked across brand, campaigns, film, motion, digital, and experiences. No matter the medium, I always start with the same question: how do we make people care?
I love finding the human insight behind an idea and turning it into something simple, memorable, and hopefully something that makes you feel something. Maybe it’s a smile 😏, a LOL 🤣, a nod of approval 🙂↕️, or a little tug on the heartstrings 🥹.
These days, I’m especially interested in where design, storytelling, motion, and new creative tools like AI can take us next.
